Irina Shengelia

Irina is an English teacher with international experience, having taught in London and Italy. She brings creativity and enthusiasm to her lessons, using theatre and drama to make learning fun and memorable for all ages.

 "I love teaching English through theatre and drama — it makes the lessons lively, interactive, and unforgettable. Seeing my students express themselves and gain confidence is the best part of my job.

I’m also a trained Cambridge Speaking Examiner for PET and FCE, and I speak five languages fluently. I enjoy bringing all my experiences into the classroom to inspire and motivate my students. Every class is an opportunity to connect, have fun, and explore language in a real and meaningful way. I always aim to create a supportive and exciting environment where students feel confident to try new things.

Outside the classroom, I have lots of unique interests and stories — I dance tango, I’ve met Maggie Smith, Dustin Hoffman, and Tobey Maguire, and once I even pretended to be Scottish at work! Being born on February 29th makes me embrace every adventure with curiosity and energy.

One of my dreams is to teach in Latin America, sharing language and culture with students in a new part of the world. For me, teaching is more than a job — it’s a chance to inspire, explore, and celebrate learning together."
